Hex Colors

Hex colors are

1. followed by six numbers and/or letters.
2. 000000 is black, and
3. FFFFFF is white, and I think that's all anyone knows. For the rest, you should use a website.

• www.color-hex.com is my personal favorite for most hex color stuff.
• If you want to mix two colors together, and find a hex color that's somewhere between them, I suggest www.perbang.dk/rgbgradient.
• If you wish to find a lighter or darker shade of a certain color, then you can use www.color-hex.com again.
• imagecolorpicker.com is good if you want to pick a color from a picture.

Finding color combos

Of course the real struggle isn't the technical color stuff, it's the artistic color stuff. For that, I suggest (thanks to Mel, for always) coolors.co. There, you can inset the colors you know you want, lock them in place, and then press the space bar to generate the other colors. Keep going until you find something you like.
